As we approach the holidays, we generally like to slow down on DIY’s before we get into full Christmas mode around here… BUT in true Arnal fashion, we built a bench in a weekend and it turned out fantastic!! (We just HAD to squeeze in one more project).

So we had a little time off and painted all of our main floor walls a pretty warm white, benjamin moore white dove, and I couldn’t be more in love! Now with the perfect backdrop I felt inspired to hang some art, something I haven’t done much of in the 3 years we’ve been in our home.

Wow wow wow, to say I am in love with this project is an understatement. I went into this DIY with very little planned, just an idea in my head that I wanted to execute, a lovely plaster table tutorial from my friend Lauren to reference, and somehow it really transformed into a successful project.

For me, there’s absolutely nothing that beats a good throw pillow. Even after searching over the years at stores like HomeSense and Ikea, I’ve never purchased a pillow that I truly loved .

Well this bar turned out to be two things, moody and modern. We definitely transformed this space in our home into a little jewel box *pinch me*, oh and it’s also amazing for hosting a cocktail hour!

After some controversial polls on our Instagram stories (sorry not sorry, we went with the minority), we decided we want our lower level to have a dark and moody vibe after we saw these inspiration pictures from The Salamander Pub in Bath, UK.

Our plant wall is one off my absolute favourite parts of our home! It bring so much life to our space and is such a conversation piece, honestly everyone has to touch it. I always get asked if its real (yes it is), if it’s a TV (lol) and also just about how to plant it and take care of it and its incredibly easy!

Well that was fast… if you read our last post, you know that getting a new rug for our living room was on my to do list for 2020 and here we are two weeks later and it’s already done. I honestly found the perfect rug, at the perfect price and had to jump on it! Slapping a new rug in a living room is easy compared to the rest of the work we have planned this year, so maybe I’m just starting to get warmed up.

For me, the start of a new year (let alone a new decade) always brings out a bunch of enthusiasm about what the coming year has to offer. I can’t help but get excited and start brainstorming about the projects I want to complete in 2020. So it got me thinking, maybe if I document my goals I can stay more accountable and take you guys along for the ride!
